	The Mozilla Firefox browser was first released in 
	September 2002. The most current version, as of August 2015 is 39.0.3. 
	Firefox is well-developed to export, backup and import bookmarks and 
	favorites from most other popular browsers.
	Backup Bookmarks From Firefox Version 4 and Later
	
		- Open a new Firefox window.
- Select the Bookmarks button and then select 
		"Show all bookmarks."
- Select "Import and Backup" in the window that 
		appears.
- Then select "Backup."
- Select a folder location on the computer's 
		hard drive to save the bookmarks.
- Select "Save."
Export Bookmarks From Firefox Version 4 and Later
	
		- Open a new Firefox window.
- Select the Bookmarks button and then select 
		"Show all bookmarks."
- Select "Import and Backup" in the window that 
		appears.
- Then select "Export Bookmarks to HTML."
- Select a folder location on the computer's 
		hard drive to save the bookmarks.
- Select "Save."

	4 and Later
	
		- Open a new Firefox window.
- Select the Bookmarks button and then select 
		"Show all bookmarks."
- Select "Import and Backup" in the window that

- To import files from other browsers it is 
		necessary to save a bookmark.htm using the other browser.
- Select "Import Bookmarks from HTML" and follow 
		the wizard directions.
 
	Restore Bookmarks In Firefox Version 4 and Later
	
		- Open a new Firefox window.
- Select the Bookmarks button and then select 
		"Show all bookmarks."
- Select "Import and Backup" in the window that 
		appears.
- Firefox allows users to backup bookmarks in 
		both .json and .htm formats.
- For .json files select "Restore" and then 
		"Choose File."
- For .htm files select "Import Bookmarks from 
		HTML" and follow the wizard directions.
Recover Lost Bookmarks In Firefox Version 4 and 
	Later
	During its regular operation, un-backed-up Firefox 
	bookmarks are in a file named places.sqlite. If this file becomes lost or 
	corrupted, Firefox may load with no bookmarks.
	To open the folder that contains the places.sqlite 
	file:
	
		- Click on the Settings button in Firefox and 
		select the small question mark to open the help menu.
- A new tab in Firefox will open. Select the 
		"Show Folder" button in the page's leading section.
- A File Explorer window will open with the 
		folder containing the places.sqlite file.
- If the file is not located in the folder, 
		enter "places.sqlite" in the File Explorer search box.
- If the file is found, right click on it, 
		select "Copy" and then navigate back to the folder above, users may use 
		the back button of File Explorer.
- Right click on a black area in the folder and 
		select paste to restore the Firefox bookmarks.
- If the file is not found, then it is not 
		possible to recover.
How To Recover Accidentally Deleted Bookmarks In 
	Firefox Version 4 and Later
	
		- Open a new Firefox window.
- Select the Bookmarks button and then select 
		"Show all bookmarks."
- Select the "Organize" drop-down menu.
- Select "Undo."
