How to Backup, Restore and Import Internet Explorer Favorites

(The following Instructions are for Internet Explorer Version 9+)

Backup Internet Explorer Favorites

Choose the the star icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the browser window.
Beside "Add to favorites" is a black down arrow, choose this.
In the menu that appears choose, "Import and export."
In the next menu choose "Export to file" and then select "Next."
Select the box for "Favorites" and then select "Next."
Select the browse button and choose a location on the computer's hard drive or portable storage device to store the favorites file and then select "OK."
Finally, select the "Export" option and "Finish" to complete backing up the favorites and create the file.

Select the "Import" option to utilize the imported file and then select "Finish."

Next, select the appropriate browser from the list provided.
Select the "Import" option to utilize the imported file and then select "Finish."
