Losing your favorites list is extremely frustrating. Whether you've lost your favorite list of website addresses in Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or even your smartphone's browser, the loss of your favorites is often tricky to recover from. You may need to dig around your file system in search of an accidentally moved file, check your Recycle Bin to see if it was accidentally deleted, or attempt to restore it from a backup (assuming one exists). My Favorites List - Google Chrome

Google Chrome stores the My Favorites list in a file on your computer. This file is named Bookmarks. Before moving forward, it's smart to first check the Recycle Bin to see if the file somehow ended up getting deleted. If it's in there, right-click it and choose Restore.

Not only does Chrome store your favorites locally, it also stores a backup file of Bookmarks named Bookmarks.bak. By default, these files are stored on your hard drive under your Users folder. In order to look for these files, make sure that Windows Explorer is set to "Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives." In Windows Vista and above, you do this by launching Windows Explorer, clicking Organize >Folder and Search Options > View and clicking "Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives." for recovery of www.favorites-menu.com click here.

From there, navigate to C: Users\ {Your User Name}\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default. Are both Bookmarks files there? If so, the main file may be corrupt and unusable. My Favorites List - Android

Android phones typically include a Favorites icon that you can click to take you directly to your Contacts page without the hassles of navigating through a series of menus. The Favorites icon is frequently accidentally deleted. Fortunately, it's just a shortcut link that can easily be restored – once you know where to look. What you need to do is get into the "Add to Home Screen" menu. Do this by tapping and holding the home screen. A menu will appear prompting you to add items to the home screen. Once connected, click on Device > Restore. You will be prompted to select a backup file to restore. Choose Select Device Data and Settings and browse for your favorite browser bookmarks backup. Click Restore to restore the backup to your device. If you previously stored the backup file to your built-in media storage, you will need to select "Files saved on my built-in media storage" before browsing for the backup and clicking Restore.

My Favorites List - Firefox

Like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox stores your My Favorites file in a folder on your hard drive. In this case, the folder is located in: C:\users\ {Your User Name} \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. The Profiles folder contains several files. Click on the one that ends with ".default." The *.default folder is supposed to contain the Bookmarks.html file by default. If the file is there, it may be corrupt and therefore unusable. If not, it may have been deleted in which case you should check the Recycle Bin to see if it can be restored.

In addition, the *.default folder also contains a folder named Bookmarkbackups. This contains the last ten backups. The easiest way to restore your missing Mozilla My Favorites file from a backup is in the Mozilla browser. Click the Bookmarks button and select Show All Bookmarks. Click Import and Backup followed by Restore. Choose the most current backup date to restore the file. You can use this same technique in reverse to create manual backups periodically.

You can also copy and paste your Bookmarks file (the one located in the C:\users\ {Your User Name} \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles folder) to a USB drive or some other form of media to transfer your My Favorites file to a different computer.
